The problems stemmed back further than that, back to 2013. I was having issues with my product packaging for my own line, Amalie Beauty.
My customers were leaving in droves. I didn't know what to do. "I'll go to China! And fix this packaging problem!" I declared proudly on my company blog. So I did. I did go to China. I did fix it...and didn’t leave for a few years. Finally, I did, and when I did, I decided to open my own lab here in the states.

IT ALL STARTED IN 2015..
If you're wondering who I am and what I'm about, my name is Megan and I'm an insatiable problem solver - a glutton for punishment. I've been through the gamut with my own self-funded beauty brand (which was recently acquired). I know you. I was you. I have been in your shoes time and time and time again. As a self-funded beauty owner, I almost never put on another pair of shoes.
I'm scrappy, stubborn and - most importantly - unstoppable.

Now, it's not just me, it's a whole team of people just like me. At Genie Supply, we tackle the toughest problems that beauty entrepreneurs face, like

WE ARE GENIE SUPPLY
We may not be like any lab or factory you’ve ever worked with before..and we’re ok with that. We are a lab and manufacturing facility settled deep in the heart of the Midwest, in Bedford, Indiana. We opened our lab 3 years ago and immediately got to work. Our focus is working with entrepreneurs and those looking to bridge the gap from manufacturing at home to their first foray into minor or major retail. Our first focal points of formulating have been those that larger labs shy away from: clean color, CBD and skincare.
Our core values are mutual respect, integrity, innovation, communication, teamwork and humility. Our offerings include over 100 private label SKUs in color cosmetics, skincare and many more formulations that we make on a custom formulation basis exclusively for clients. Products that we manufacture can be found all over the web and in your favorite major retail stores across the US. Our solutions range from total turnkey solutions, as well as bulk only, bulk + fill, contract manufacturing and a variety of other services.
Our capabilities stem from our R&D lab and a separate manufacturing facility (in adjacent buildings), so we can handle complete custom formulation R&D projects and manufacture anywhere up to 100,000 unit orders on most products.
